Closes Another Real Estate Transaction In Maineville Ohio.

The property at 720 Weeping Willow Lane Maineville, Ohio 45039 was a 3 bedroom, 2 bath ranch home. The home is in the Little Miami Local City School District and has a lovely deck with private, wooded views. The property sold for $131,400 and was only on the market 5 days. The Lowry Team Keller Williams West Chester represented the buyer in this transaction.

The Lowry Team helped their clients, that were currently renting, buy their first home. The price point the buyers were looking in was a difficult match for the list of “must haves.” After 5 months, just the right house came on the market. Homes that are in great shape and are priced correctly aren’t lasting long on the market, therefore they made the showing a priority in their schedules. They offered a price they hoped the sellers could not refuse and that would not go into multiple offers. In the end, the sellers paid for a home warranty and some of the closing costs. The buyers got a home with everything on their “want” list plus more.

The Lowry Team Keller Williams Realty Visit Local Farmers Markets

Members of The Lowry Team have had the opportunity to visit two farmers markets so far this Spring, Farmers markets are more than a place to pick up fresh, locally grown produce. It is a time for the community to gather together, visit and enjoy the beautiful weather.

Eric Lowry, CEO and Listing Specialist for The Lowry Team visited the West Chester Farmer’s Market. The market is open on Saturdays from 9 am – 1 pm at The Square, 9100 West Chester Towne Center Drive West Chester Ohio 45069. Some of the items to purchase are fresh produce, jams, meat, eggs and fresh salsa. Many vendors offer free samples to enjoy. Periodically, there are also guest chefs, artists and pet rescue organizations. The season runs from May 17th – October 11th.

Karen Burck, Marketing Director for The Lowry Team checked out the Wyoming Ohio Farmers Market. This marks the 8th season for the Wyoming market located at The Village Green on Wyoming Avenue. The market is open from 3 pm – 7 pm on Tuesdays. Local farms offer fresh fruits and vegetables. Other items that can be found are baked goods, honey, herbs, flowers, and coffee. Kids enjoy waffles from The Taste of Belgium and street pops made from fresh fruit and herbs. Fireside Pizza is a popular “grab and go,” dinner on the run with the local residents.

Both farmers markets have newsletters that you can subscribe to. They each also have options for their customers in the Winter months. West Chester moves the market inside Mulhauser Barn located at 8558 Beckett Road West Chester Ohio 45069. Wyoming has online order forms to pre-order then pick up beginning in November.

The Lowry Team Discovers The Community Garden In Mason Ohio

Did you know that Mason Ohio has a community garden?

The Mason Ohio Community Garden is located on Mason-Morrow-Millgrove Road. Mason Ohio Public Works Department lays all of the initial groundwork for you. The lots are tilled in the Spring and wood chips are added to the paths. A compost pile and water truck are on site for gardeners to utilize.

If interested in a 10′ x 15′ plot to grow food and/or flowers in the community garden, an application must be completed. Residents that have tended gardens in previous years will be assigned plots first. The city of Mason Ohio recommends a $20 donation to cover seasonal expenses.

Some of the local gardeners choose to donate what they grow to the Mason Ohio Food Pantry. So, whether for a worthy cause or for your own home, roll up your sleeves and dig in the dirt while getting to know your neighbors. Then have them over for dinner and share the fruits of your labor.

Applications can be picked up at the Mason Community Center and the Mason Ohio Municipal Center.

Money Magazine 2013 has ranked Mason Ohio as 7th in their Best Places to Live – America’s Best Small Towns report. It is the largest city in Warren County and boasts a wide variety of businesses. Excellent employment opportunities, close proximity to both Cincinnati and Dayton, and an excellent school district make Mason Ohio a desirable place to live.

5 Easy Home Improvements To Increase Home Value

Are you considering selling your home? Did you have it listed but it didn’t sell? Your home may need a bit of work before it will sell at the best possible price. Here are some easy home improvements you can make to increase home value and improve your chances of selling quicker.

Step up your curb appeal – First impressions are everything, and the front of your home is what buyers see first. You can easily step up your curb appeal and increase home value by mowing and edging the grass, trimming shrubs, and planting flowers. If the paint on your front door or garage door has seen better days, repaint them. Consider replacing the shabby mailbox, adding new house numbers, power-washing the driveway (and the house if it has vinyl siding) etc. A well-kept front yard makes buyers much more willing to come inside for a look.

Upgrade kitchen appliances – The kitchen is one of the best places to see return on your investment in home improvements. If you are not looking to do a full kitchen update, simply upgrading your kitchen appliances will make a huge difference to how potential buyers see your home. If you want to go a step further, you can update the hardware on the cabinets, or even give the cabinets a new finish. Improving the kitchen is a great place to start when you want to increase home value.

Paint neutral tones – Have deep red walls that you just love? Go to your nearest home improvement store and buy some neutral paint tones such as cream, taupe, etc. Neutral paint tones tend to make rooms look bigger and more open. Don’t forget the basics – Buyers expect the basics of the home to be in good, working order, so make sure you address any issues beforehand. If your roof is old or leaking, it should be replaced or fixed. Address any problems with heating and air-conditioning units or plumbing. Making sure the basics work can definitely increase home value. You don’t want to lose a sale to competition or reduce your home value just because one of these things aren’t up to par.
