The money section of TIME Magazine has named West Chester Ohio as one of the “Best Places To Live 2014.” They began their research by looking at cities with populations between 50,000 and 300,000. They then took the following factors into consideration: local economy, housing market, schools, health care, crime, arts and leisure, ease of living and diversity.
West Chester is the ONLY Ohio city that placed in the top 50. They ranked #30. The report highlighted local entertainment opportunities such as EnterTRAINment Junction and activities at Voice Of America Park. While West Chester does not have a traditional downtown, TIME Magazine gave The Square high marks. The Square is a unique gathering place for West Chester residents. Concerts, farmers markets, and an annual food truck rally are just some of the many activities The Square has to offer.
West Chester has a population of 60,859. The median income is $93,743. The median house price is $179,153. The average property tax is $4,009. Projected job growth for the area is 4.4%.
