Many families look for fun day trips to take with the family during the summer. The Lowry Team suggests The Beach as the first of many “staycation” ideas in this new blog series.
The Beach Water Park located at 2590 Waterpark Drive Mason Ohio 45040 is a fabulous place to go and get away from it all for the day. Located on 35 acres of land in Mason Ohio, The Beach has all the makings of a Caribbean vacation; palm trees, white sand, and waves.
This year, The Beach has new cabanas to relax and enjoy the day in as well as new kids play areas. Another new feature is the zipline that you can soar over the park on.
The beach offers a heated wave pool with a kiddie cove and numerous other slides and attractions. The Big Kahuna is the only water coaster in the Midwest. The 1200 foot long lazy river moves at a relaxing 5 mph for those who want something a little less heart racing. There is an area to play water basketball, beach volleyball and an indoor arcade. Swimming lessons are also available.
Besides the rides and attractions, The Beach has many special events:
Tuesday nights, the water park transforms into Club Splash. From 8:30 pm – 11:30 pm, teens can hang out and dance. Music is provided by a live DJ and a large screen features music videos.
Sundays are Reggae Sundays at The Beach. Enjoy live music from 2 pm – 5 pm at The Stage at Sunset Beach.
June 26th is Cincinnati Reds Mascot Day. Meet the Reds Mascots and get free giveaways.
Drive In Movies begin at dusk on June 28th (Frozen), July 19th (LEGO Movie) and August 9th (Despicable Me).
Regular admission price for The Beach is $28.99 and parking is $8. Park goers arriving after 3 pm will be able to purchase discount tickets for $17.99. Father’s get in free with a purchased admission ticket. A coupon must be provided. Check their website for coupons and special offers.
