5 Table Decorating Ideas for Thanksgiving
Thanksgiving is just a week away! In the hustle and bustle of preparing the menu, grocery shopping and cooking a delicious Thanksgiving meal, don’t forget to set the table. These table decorating ideas will hopefully spark your creative side so that you can create a festive table setting for your family and friends to enjoy.
DIY Candles – Fill old wine bottles with rice, grains and spices. Place Fall colored tapered candles in the tops and arrange on the table.
Centerpiece – Find a variety of sizes of glass containers around your home. Layer nuts and dried fruit in each to mimic a trifle dessert. Set on the buffet or at the center of your dining room table.
Flowers – Gather vessels that can serve as flower vases. Examples include soup bowls, ramekins, cookie jars and more. Ideally, have them all within the same color scheme. Fill the makeshift vases with beautiful Fall flowers.
Still Life – Purchase squash, gourds and fruit and place on cake stands to resemble still life paintings.
Table Runner – Create a metallic themed table runner. Spray paint pumpkins, branches, votive candle holders, gourds and more with silver or gold. Arrange the items along a burlap table runner placed across the Thanksgiving table.
