There are so many things to do this weekend near Cincinnati! Winter markets, tree lighting ceremonies, parades, and tours to name just a few. Here are some of our favorite Winter and holiday events taking place…

Christkindlmrkt –

Friday, December 5th – Sunday, December 7th
Open Friday from 5:30 pm – 10 pm, Saturday from 10 am – 10 pm and Sunday from noon – 6 pm
Located at Hamilton Marriott, One Riverfront Plaza Hamilton Ohio 45011
Purchase German wares and enjoy German beer, food and music
Admission is free

The Winter Farmer’s Market in West Chester –

Saturday, December 6th
Open from 2 pm – 4 pm
The market is held at Mulhauser Barn, 8558 Beckett Road West Chester during the Winter months
Shop for fresh, Winter produce, home made crafts and food

Light Up Fairfield –

Saturday, December 6th from 3 pm – 6 pm
Shop the holiday market, visit with Santa Claus, enjoy musical performances, make crafts and witness the tree lighting ceremony
Events are taking place at multiple Fairfield locations

The Lebanon Carriage Parade –

Saturday, December 6th

Horse drawn carriage parade at 1 pm and then again with candlelight at 7 pm
Shop Lebanon’s antique and specialty stores
Mulberry Street is hosting a Christmas Festival from 10 am – 8 pm
Mulberry Street will have food and craft vendors, live entertainment, and pictures with Santa
Tour Glendower Mansion
Visit the live nativity at Lebanon Presbyterian Church
Enjoy free carriage rides in front of The Golden Lamb

Elisha Morgan Mansion Holiday Open House –

Saturday, December 6th and Sunday, December 7th
This free event is being held from 1 pm – 4 pm both days
The mansion will be decorated in a 1950’s theme
Light snacks and refreshments

The Wyoming Pastry Shop is a favorite of Karen Burck, Marketing Director of The Lowry Team. Established in 1934, The Wyoming Pastry Shop is located in the business district of Wyoming, Ohio at 505 Wyoming Avenue. Karen has fond memories of picking out treats at the bakery after school with her children.

Jessica Lowry, Buyer Specialist, enjoys an occasional treat from Busken Bakery. Busken Bakery has been serving their original iced cookies since 1928. They now offer a skinny version with half the fat! Busken Bakery has multiple locations. Stop by one of their stores in Springdale, Kenwood and more…

Servatii Pastry Shop is the all time favorite of Lisa Lowry, Transaction Coordinator for The Lowry Team. Servatii’s has a great selection of cookies including seasonal favorites like gingerbread and anise drops. However, it is the shop’s birthday cakes that Lisa loves the most. The entire Lowry Team enjoyed her yummy birthday cake from the Servatii’s in West Chester this week!

The Lowry Team: Holiday Light Displays Near Cincinnati

One of our favorite holiday traditions is driving around looking at all of the beautiful Christmas lights. Here are five holiday light displays near Cincinnati for you to visit.

1.The Festival of Lights at The Cincinnati Zoo –

More than two million lights, themed areas and holiday entertainment.
Hours are 5 pm – 9 pm Sunday – Thursday; 5 pm – 10 pm Friday and Saturday.
General admission is $15, $11 for ages 2-12 and 62 and up, and free for under 2.
The zoo is located at 3400 Vine Street Cincinnati, Ohio 45220.

2. Holiday Lights On The Hill at Pyramid Hill Sculpture Park –

A million holiday lights and laser displays to drive through.
Located at 1763 Ohio 128 Hamilton, Ohio 45013.
Cost is $20 a carload Monday – Thursday and $25 a carload Friday – Sunday.
There is an 8 person limit per vehicle.

3. Holiday Lights at Sharon Woods –

View over a mile of outdoor light displays from your car.
Located at 11450 Lebanon Road Cincinnati, Ohio 45241.
Open 6 pm – 9 pm Sunday – Thursday and 6 pm – 10 pm Friday and Saturday.
Cost is $13 a carload.

4. Light Up The Levee at Newport On The Levee –

Watch the holiday lights dance to your favorite songs.
This free show begins at 6:50 pm each night
Located at 1 Levee Way Newport Kentucky.

5. The Christmas Ranch –

More than 1 million lights, shops, bakery, photos with Santa and wagon rides.
Open 5 pm – 9 pm Sunday through Thursday and 5 pm – 10 pm Friday and Saturday.
Located at 3205 S. Waynesville Road Morrow Ohio 45152.
Cost is $15 per vehicle.

This Weekend In Cincinnati…

The holidays are upon us and there is no shortage of fun activities taking place this weekend. Get in the holiday spirit by attending one or more of these events taking place in Cincinnati. Continue old traditions or begin new ones…

Hamilton’s Tree Lighting and Main Street Music Fest is this evening, Friday, November 21st. The event begins at 5:30 pm at the Butler County Courthouse. Enjoy holiday entertainment, hot chocolate and cookies. After the tree lighting ceremony wander down Main Street to enjoy more musical entertainment. Local businesses will be open to begin your holiday shopping.

The Beach Water Park opens for snow tubing today! The water park has become a snow park! The Beach is located at 2590 Waterpark Drive Mason Ohio. Sessions begin at 2 hours but hours can be added for an additional cost. Cost ranges from $17 – $25. Along with snow tubing, there is a play area for younger kids and a chalet to warm up in with food and drink available to purchase. The park is open from 10 am – 10 pm today. Daily hours vary.

The Germania Society is holding their annual Christkindlmarkt this weekend. Head to 3529 West Kemper Road Cincinnati Ohio 45251 to begin your holiday shopping. In addition to shopping, there will be German entertainment, food, pastries and beer, Christkindlmarkt is open from 5 pm – 10 pm on Friday, 11 am – 10 pm on Saturday and noon – 5 pm on Sunday.

Holiday In Lights opens today at Sharon Woods and runs through December 31st. Drive through the outdoor light display at 11450 Lebanon Road in Sharonville. Cost is $13 a carload.

Holiday Lights On The Hill also begins today at Pyramid Hill Sculpture Park and Museum at 1763 Hamilton-Cleves Road in Hamilton. Drive through more than a million lights and displays. This weekend, Holiday Lights on the Hill is open from Friday – Sunday, 6 pm – 10 pm each day. Cost is $25 a carload on the weekends and $20 a carload Monday – Thursday.

Today marks the start of ice skating at the ice rink on Fountain Square. Fountain Square is at the corner of 5th and Vine Cincinnati. Hours are 5 pm – midnight on Fridays, 10 am – midnight on Saturdays and 10 – 10 pm on Sundays. Admission is $4 and skate rental is $4. The skating rink is open until February 15th.

The Festival of Lights at The Cincinnati Zoo opens Saturday, November 22nd and runs through January 3rd. The zoo is located at 3400 Vine Street Cincinnati. Regular admission is $15, $11 for ages 2 – 12 and free for children under 2. There is an additional cost for parking.

Balluminaria 2014 is being held at Mirror Lake in Eden Park on Saturday, November 22nd. This free event is from 4 pm – 6 pm at 950 Eden Park Drive Cincinnati Ohio 45202. Activities include circus entertainers, nature activities, costumed characters from the Cincinnati Ballet and Playhouse In The Park, carolers, and hot air balloons. Food, hot chocolate and crafts will be available for sale.

Butler County Ohio is buzzing with activity this weekend! Check out these fun things to do this weekend in Butler County.

Jungle Jim’s International Wine Festival is this Friday and Saturday, November 14th and 15th. The Festival is being held on both nights from 7 pm – 10 pm at The Oscar Event Center. The address is 5440 Dixie Highway Fairfield Ohio 45014. At the event you will find more than 90 International wineries, more than 400 wines and finger food pairings from all over the world. Cost is $25 for non-drinkers, $65 for the Grand Tasting and $100 for Connoisseur Tasting. The Connoisseur is an upgrade that includes dinner by the bite, an exclusive wine sampling and access to Oscar Pub. Tickets are available on line and at the door. You must be 21 years of age to enter.

The Fairfield Footlighters perform “The House of Blue Leaves” all weekend long. Performances are at 8 pm on Friday and Saturday and at 2 pm on Sunday. All performances are held at the Fairfield Community Arts Center located at 411 Wessel Drive Fairfield Ohio 45014. General admission costs $14. The cost for students and senior citizens is $12.

The Olde West Chester Christmas Walk Parade and Tree Lighting is Saturday, November 15th. This holiday tradition begins at 2 pm with business open houses, photos with Santa and crafts. The parade begins at 7 pm at Union Day School. The parade ends at the West Chester Township Administration Building, 9113 Cincinnati-Dayton Road West Chester. The community tree lighting will take place at the administration building around 8 pm.

On Saturday, November 15th kids of all ages can begin to celebrate the season at EnterTRAINment Junction. Special events include a “Journey to the North Pole” to see Santa and Mrs Claus. The “Main Street Holiday Trains” is a beautiful Winter train display for everyone’s enjoyment. EnterTRAINment Junction is located at 7379 Squire Court West Chester 45069. Hours are 10 am – 6 pm Monday – Saturday and noon – 6 pm on Sundays. Holiday hours will be extended after December 15th. Prices for Christmas Junction vary.
