Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac Are Offering 3% Down Mortgage Programs
Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac have both announced that they will begin offering 3% down options for home buyers. Fannie Mae’s 3% mortgage program went into effect on December 13, 2014. Fannie Mac will roll out their 3% down mortgage program beginning March 23, 2015.
The 3% down programs will be helpful to potential home buyers that qualify for a loan but lack the funds for a more substantial down payment.
