Food Truck Rally - The Lowry TeamThe Lowry Team is excited that the West Chester Food Truck Rally is taking place again this year.  The event is being held on Friday, August 8th from 11:00 am until 10:00 pm at The Square at Union Centre. The rally benefits The Girls and Boys Club of West Chester and Liberty Township.  

There will be 15-20 gourmet food trucks, live music, beer and wine. Expect to see Roll With It Cafe, Hungry Food Truck, Red Sesame Korean BBQ/Taco, The Mobile Cone and more.  At lunch time Chuck Evans will be playing acoustical music.  3 Day Rule performs from 5 pm – 7 pm and the band DV8 performs from 7 pm – 10 pm.

Streets of West Chester - The Lowry TeamThe Streets of West Chester, located at I-75 and Union Centre, is going to double in size!  The plan is to add 200,000 square feet of retail, restaurant and entertainment venues.  Lincoln Property Company, the center’s new owner, has begun the pre-development leasing and marketing for the project.  They are focused on new to market retailers that will set The Streets of West Chester apart and meet the needs of the surrounding community.  This phase of the project begins with moving the Bass Pro Shop from Forest Fair Mall in Fairfield Ohio to its new location on Allen Road in West Chester.  Next, the project will expand from the Bass Pro Shop to the pre-existing Streets of West Chester.  Currently, Streets of West Chester is home to Ann Taylor LOFT, AMC West Chester 18, P.F. Changs, Ambience/Aveda Spa, Barnes and Noble and more. Groundbreaking is expected to begin in the Fall of 2015 and open in the Spring of 2016.

The Closing Process

Once we have an offer on the house we begin the closing process.  The closing process can be broken down into steps.

First, the buyer and seller must sign and and agree to the terms of the sale of the house.  This results in an executed contract.  Next, the earnest money from the buyer is deposited into an escrow account.  Earnest money is a way for the buyer to show their commitment to the transaction.  The executed contract is then sent to the lender and the title company to begin the process of contract to close.  If there is an option period the buyer can use this time to inspect the property.  Any repairs you agree to should be completed with receipts before the closing.  We will work with the title company to collect all of the necessary documents.  When we close, we will work from a document known as a HUD-1 settlement statement.  A HUD-1 tells you the charges associated with the sale of your house and what you can expect to net after the sale.  Our transaction coordinator for our team will follow up with you to make sure that all of these steps take place on time and in order.

Lakota Hills in West Chester is well known for it’s organized swim club.  They have  many events throughout the year such as parades, movie nights, cook outs and more.

Keehner ParkWest Chester Ohio offers plenty of activities for children and their families to learn and have fun at the same time. In addition to the many parks, pools and playgrounds, there are scheduled workshops that the family can participate in together.

One example is the WOLF program.  WOLF stands for the World Of Land, Forest, and Friends.  The program is held on Wednesdays, during the summer months, at both 10:30 am and 1:00 pm.  The program is appropriate for ages 5-14 and is located at the Deer Shelter in Keehner Park, 7211 Barrett Road West Chester Ohio 45069.  Each class will have a topic related to the environment and nature.  Future dates that the WOLF program is being held are:  June 18, 25 and July 16, 23, and 30th.

The Nature Basket Program is another opportunity for family fun in West Chester Ohio.  This program is recommended for children 3-5 years of age.  The Nature Basket Program is held at 10:30 am at the Owl Shelter in Keehner Park, 7211 Barrett Road West Chester Ohio 45069. Each session includes a story, a talk about nature and a craft.  Upcoming dates for this program are August 13th, September 10th and October 15th.  Parents must accompany their child and help with the craft.
