Most Expensive Home Sales in Mason 2016

Most Expensive Home Sales in Mason 20162016 saw the luxury home market in Mason Ohio increase at a steady pace.  There were 35 luxury home sales in Mason in 2016, and compared to 20 luxury home sales in 2015.

The inventory of luxury homes for sale in Mason is pretty much equal to the inventory levels in similar areas. The inventory of homes for sale in Mason is quite high when compared to the amount of homes that are selling in Mason.  Based on the current rate of sales in the luxury market there is an average of 13.9 months supply of homes for sale.  Traditionally anything over 6 months worth of inventory is considered to be an oversupply favoring home buyers as opposed to favoring home sellers.

The Top Ten Most Expensive Home Sales in Mason in 2016 (see below) were sold in a range from $720,000 – $1,463,544.  Of these ten home sales, 5 were in Heritage Club, 4 were in Chestnut Hill, and 1 was in the Reserves of Bethany.

Three of these luxury home sales were new construction homes.  All of these newly built homes were sold in the Chestnut Hill Subdivision.

Freshen Up the Paint – Touch up the trim, shutters, garage door, and front door paint.

Power Wash – If your siding is looking dirty, consider giving it a good power washing to brighten it up. Don’t forget to power wash the driveway, and front porch steps.

Step 5 to Selling a House in Cincinnati : Pack Up and Move

Selling a house in CincinnatiMoving to a new home is exciting but it is also stressful, but there are things you can do to make it go more smoothly.

You can choose to move yourself or hire a professional moving company.  The Lowry Team can provide you with a list of our preferred vendors who can take some of the weight off your shoulders.

First and foremost, be prepared with all of the necessary materials for packing.  Items that you will need are lots of boxes, packing tape, and plenty of material for wrapping breakable items. If you need boxes, try asking at some local retail stores if they have any empty boxes you can have. Often, they have tons of boxes that they are more than happy to give you.

Don’t wait until the last minute.  Pack one room at a time and set a goal of packing a couple of boxes a day.  As you pack each room sort through items that you may want to donate or sell.

Be sure to clearly mark each box once it is packed.  Make sure to notate not only what’s in the box, but what room it goes in. Also, don’t forget to mark any breakables as “fragile” so that the person carrying the box later knows to be extra careful.

When moving, some people choose to rent a truck.  Shop around carefully when picking a company to rent a moving truck from.  Compare mileage rates and costs of moving on different days of the week.  Instead of a moving truck, some people will have a portable container brought to their house.  Once all of your house is packed up and placed inside, the company will move the container to your new home. No matter what you choose to do, make sure you plan ahead. If you wait too long to reserve a truck, you may be out of luck.

Step 4 to Selling a House in Cincinnati : Negotiate an Offer

Selling a house in CincinnatiIt is extremely important to have an experienced, professional real estate agent do the negotiating for you when selling your house.
