The Closing Process

Once we have an offer on the house we begin the closing process.  The closing process can be broken down into steps.

First, the buyer and seller must sign and and agree to the terms of the sale of the house.  This results in an executed contract.  Next, the earnest money from the buyer is deposited into an escrow account.  Earnest money is a way for the buyer to show their commitment to the transaction.  The executed contract is then sent to the lender and the title company to begin the process of contract to close.  If there is an option period the buyer can use this time to inspect the property.  Any repairs you agree to should be completed with receipts before the closing.  We will work with the title company to collect all of the necessary documents.  When we close, we will work from a document known as a HUD-1 settlement statement.  A HUD-1 tells you the charges associated with the sale of your house and what you can expect to net after the sale.  Our transaction coordinator for our team will follow up with you to make sure that all of these steps take place on time and in order.

The Lowry Team - World Cup 2014World Cup 2014 is in full swing!  The excitement is contagious.  Many young boys and girls are glued to their televisions watching the games.  When not a spectator, they are probably practicing their own moves outside (or maybe inside, watch the lamps)!  The Lowry Team suggests that you consider signing the kids up for a soccer camp this summer.

Challenger Sports British Soccer Camps are the most popular soccer camps in the United States and Canada.  The camps are made popular by their innovative practices with a cultural twist.  Coaches studied the game at all levels and identified the key techniques and skills that players need to work on to master the sport.  Each day, campers will work on individual foot skills, technical drills, tactical practices, small sided games, coached scrimmages and a daily world cup tournament.  The camp also teaches the core values of respect, integrity, sportsmanship, and leadership. British soccer camps are open for kids from 4 years of age to 18.

The Lowry Team 4th of July FireworksLaRosa’s Balloon Glow at Coney Island is being held on July 3rd.  Coney Island is located at 6201 Kellogg Avenue Cincinnati Ohio 45230.  The fireworks display will take place at 10 pm.  Both the fireworks and balloons are free.  Normal rates apply for the pool and rides.  Parking is $7 before 2:00 pm then increases to $10 after 2 pm.

Fountain Square is the site for the 4th of July Bash.  Enjoy a free Reggae concert then fireworks at 10 pm.  Fountain Square is located at 520 Vine Street Cincinnati Ohio 45202.

Independence Day Fireworks begin July 4th at 10 pm at Ault Park, located at 3600 Observatory Avenue Cincinnati, Ohio 45208.  Music and concessions begin at 6 pm.

Red, White and Blue Ash is being held from 4 pm until 10:30 pm on the Fourth of July.  Events take place at Summit Park, 4335 Glendale Milford Road Blue Ash, Ohio 45242.  Midnight Special takes the stage at 5:30 pm then Cheap Trick at 8:15 pm.  Fireworks display is at 10 pm.

The Lowry TeamWyoming Ohio has many activities planned for the 4th of July.  Each year a theme is chosen and carried throughout the day. The celebration begins at 10 am at the Gazebo in Village Green with a parade.  Neighborhoods create floats and costumes to compete with one another to see who carried the day’s theme out the best.  After the parade there are games, entertainment and awards at the Gazebo on Wyoming Avenue.

Following the parade, many neighborhoods have block parties while they wait for the evening festivities.  Others will head to The Family Aquatic Center at 9940 Springfield Pike.  Wyoming Ohio residents can swim for free from noon – 5 pm.  This year, the city of Wyoming Ohio added a Muddy Pig Fun Run.  The Run is being held between 1 pm  – 4 pm at North Park. Plans are in place for a climbing wall, ice pit, tires and mud!  Participants have the option to get cleaned off at the Recreation Center by the Wyoming Ohio Fire Department’s hoses.  Pre-registration is $10 and it is $15 the day off.  Swag bags are available while supplies last. Proceeds benefit the Wyoming Ohio Police Department.

Beginning at 5:30 there will be inflatable slides, bounce houses, games and refreshments at Oak Park.  The band My Sister Sarah performs at 7:45.  My Sister Sarah plays rock, country and hip hop from the 80’s, 90’s and now. The 4th of July celebration in Wyoming Ohio comes to an end with a bang courtesy of Rozzi’s Famous Fireworks.

Village Green ParkVillage Green Park in Fairfield, Ohio is home to summer concerts, festivals and other community events.  In the park you will find beautiful fountains, sculptures and an amphitheater.

One of the many events that take place at Village Green Park is The Groovin on the Green Concert Series.  Concerts are on Thursday nights at 7:00 pm from May 22- August 28th.  My Sister Sarah, BlueStone Ivory and After Midnight are just some of the musical talent that you will experience there. The Community Arts Center opens their doors for the concerts beginning at 6 pm. Order food for the whole family until 7:30 and take advantage of the cash bar until the conclusion of the concert.

Another annual event is the Cruise In On The Green.  It is a classic and antique car show.  Cars, trucks and motorcycles will be at the event.  There is also live music and food.

The first Friday of each month from May to October there is a movie at Village Green Park.  Bring your families, chairs and blankets to enjoy the movie that begins at dusk.  Some of the movies being shown this year are Frozen and The Nut Job.  Prior to each movie, the Fairfield Fire Department will have fun activities and giveaways.
