Holiday Junction At Cincinnati Museum Center

There Are Plenty Of Things To Do This Weekend In Butler County

Butler County Ohio is buzzing with activity this weekend! Check out these fun things to do this weekend in Butler County.

Jungle Jim’s International Wine Festival is this Friday and Saturday, November 14th and 15th. The Festival is being held on both nights from 7 pm – 10 pm at The Oscar Event Center. The address is 5440 Dixie Highway Fairfield Ohio 45014. At the event you will find more than 90 International wineries, more than 400 wines and finger food pairings from all over the world. Cost is $25 for non-drinkers, $65 for the Grand Tasting and $100 for Connoisseur Tasting. The Connoisseur is an upgrade that includes dinner by the bite, an exclusive wine sampling and access to Oscar Pub. Tickets are available on line and at the door. You must be 21 years of age to enter.

The Fairfield Footlighters perform “The House of Blue Leaves” all weekend long. Performances are at 8 pm on Friday and Saturday and at 2 pm on Sunday. All performances are held at the Fairfield Community Arts Center located at 411 Wessel Drive Fairfield Ohio 45014. General admission costs $14. The cost for students and senior citizens is $12.

The Olde West Chester Christmas Walk Parade and Tree Lighting is Saturday, November 15th. This holiday tradition begins at 2 pm with business open houses, photos with Santa and crafts. The parade begins at 7 pm at Union Day School. The parade ends at the West Chester Township Administration Building, 9113 Cincinnati-Dayton Road West Chester. The community tree lighting will take place at the administration building around 8 pm.

On Saturday, November 15th kids of all ages can begin to celebrate the season at EnterTRAINment Junction. Special events include a “Journey to the North Pole” to see Santa and Mrs Claus. The “Main Street Holiday Trains” is a beautiful Winter train display for everyone’s enjoyment. EnterTRAINment Junction is located at 7379 Squire Court West Chester 45069. Hours are 10 am – 6 pm Monday – Saturday and noon – 6 pm on Sundays. Holiday hours will be extended after December 15th. Prices for Christmas Junction vary. Stan the Donut Man is located at 7967 Cincinnati-Dayton Road West Chester 45069. They are open 7 days a week. Stan the Donut Man gives tours of the store and bakery to pre-schools. Stan’s averages more than 2,600 donuts sold every Saturday and Sunday. Lisa Lowry, Transaction Coordinator for The Lowry Team loves the Pumpkin Donut they make only in the Fall. Jessica Lowry, Buyer Specialist for The Lowry Team prefers the Maple Long Johns.

Servatii’s Pastry Shop and Deli has a location at 7671 Voice of America Drive. They make a wide variety of donuts. Darryl Smith, Buyer Specialist for The Lowry Team loves their glazed cake donuts. Servatii’s offers seasonal cake donuts such as Pumpkin and Apple Fritter. Their yeast donuts are formed into the shape of their famous pretzels. Wilhelm Gottenbusch, a German immigrant, opened the first Servatii’s bakery in Hyde Park in 1963. They now have over a dozen locations.

Dunkin Donuts is a national chain. Karen Burck, Marketing Director, has fond memories of choosing donut holes with her mother in upstate New York. The holidays are right around the corner! Save some extra money for shopping. Find out where kids eat free in West Chester! Many local restaurants offer specials that allow kids to eat free. Here are just a few:

The Applebees at 6084 Mulhauser Road West Chester 45069 offers a free kids meal per adult entree purchase all day on Tuesdays. Kids can also eat for free all day on Wednesdays – one child per adult please!

The Bob Evans on 7781 Dudley Road in West Chester has a kids eat free special all day on Tuesdays. Kids must be 12 years of age and under. Only 1 child per adult. The Bob Evans located at 9223 Schulze Road offers the same special on Tuesdays but only from 4 pm to close.

Kids eat free from 5 pm – 8 pm on Tuesdays at the IHOP restaurant located at 7748 Cox Lane in West Chester.

At the Skyline at 6098 West Chester Road kids eat free per adult entree from 5 pm – 9 pm on Tuesdays. Kids eat free all day on Saturdays. One free kids meal per adult entree purchase. Skyline has multiple locations in West Chester. Check with the Skyline nearest you. Specials vary by location.

One free kid’s plate per $8 spent is the current special at the Steak ‘n Shake located at 9414 Civic Centre Boulevard. The special is good on Saturdays and Sundays.

Get one free kids meal per adult meal purchase all day on Tuesdays at Uno Chicago Grill. This offer is good at the 9246 Schulze Drive location only.
