Gives Back On Red Day

RED DayThe Lowry Team participated in Keller Williams annual RED Day. RED Day stands for Renew, Energize and Donate and is Keller Williams Realty’s annual day of service. Each year on the second Thursday of May, associates spend the day away from their businesses serving worthy organizations and causes in their communities. RED Day is just another example of our commitment to each other and to the cities and towns where we live and work. 

For the 5th annual RED Day, Keller Williams West Chester partnered with Transitional Living Center on Thursday, May 8, 2014. Transitional Living, Inc., a private, non-profit organization, is celebrating 33 years of serving Butler County residents with severe and persistent mental illnesses. The facility is located at 2052 Princeton Road, Hamilton, Ohio 45011 . The Transitional Living Center was designed to help rehabilitate those who are in need of continued treatment before being able to live independently in their community.

The Lowry Team worked together with other Keller Williams West Chester agents to paint interior rooms, clear honeysuckle and brush, till gardens, mulch and weed flower beds.  The Lowry Team enjoyed interacting with the employees and residents of the Transitional Living Center while they worked.  The Lowry Team prides itself on giving back to the community.  In addition to RED Day, The Lowry Team works with Reach Out Lakota, among other organizations throughout the year.

Features of the home include a gourmet granite kitchen with hardwood floors, a three car garage and a spectacular screened porch overlooking a wooded back yard.  The house was listed for $344,900 and sold for $337,000.

The house was an expired listing that had previously not sold with another broker.  Eric Lowry, CEO and Listing Specialist for The Lowry Team worked with the seller to price the home correctly.  The Lowry Team then connected the seller with Jo Potvin of Design to Market, a home stager that works with the team.

The house sold for 97% of the list price and was on the market 176 days.  The seller is now working with a Buyer Specialist on The Lowry Team to purchase another home.

Those surveyed were asked to choose from real estate, gold, stocks and mutual funds, savings accounts and CD’s, and bonds.  30% chose real estate, followed with a tie at 24% for gold and stocks/mutual funds.  14% of American chose savings accounts and only 6% chose bonds.  Why do Americans feel that real estate is the best choice for a long term investment?  The housing market is improving and house prices are rising.

Break the numbers down by age and every single age group from 18 years to over 65 chose real estate as the wisest investment. If you look at each group according to income level, upper income levels were  more likely to choose real estate. The Lowry Team prides itself on being involved in the community.  For example, Reach Out Lakota is an organization that they work closely with year round.  The Lowry Team is very excited to be a part of the many community events and organizations in Olde West Chester.
