Located at 7211 Barret Road West Chester Ohio, Keehner Park is 123 acres acres of beautiful scenery along the Mill Creek.  Keehner Park features hiking trails, playgrounds, athletic fields, and an amphitheatre.  There are also picnic shelters that can be reserved.

The amphitheatre is where the annual Fifth Third West Chester Concert Series is held.  The concerts are free and open to the public.  Concerts are held from 7-9 pm.  Guests can choose to bring a picnic and a blanket or lawn chair.  Alcoholic beverages are prohibited.  The series kicks off on Saturday, May 31st with Blue Stone Ivy.  The band consists of vocalists and a horn section and  plays classic rock from the 60’s and 70’s.

June 14th – Southwest Ohio Symphonic Band

July 12th – On the Beach

July 19th – Ohio Valley Big Band

July 26th – American Graffiti Band

August 2nd – Ohh La La and the Greasers

August 9th – Azucar Tumbao (salsa dance lessons)

August 16th – P&G Big Band

August 23rd – Young Heirlooms

September 1st – West Chester Symphony

Foto Friday –  The Lowry Team Has Fun

At After Hours On The Square in West Chester Ohio.

After Hours On The SquareIt was a beautiful night on The Square. Sunshine, a slight breeze and warm. The venue was just the right size for the event. It was not too crowded and people had room to roam.

DV8 was the featured band of the evening. They sounded amazing and really engaged with their audience.  Concert goers sang along and danced to tunes from the 80’s to now.  Lisa Lowry, Director of Client Care says, “DV8 is one of the best cover bands in Cincinnati.  The perfect band to start the West Chester concert series.”

Kids danced and played while their parents relaxed with a drink and listened to the music.  A number of attendees brought their dogs to frolic and play in the grassy areas around The Square.

A beer booth and Icee vendor were available for those who wanted to purchase drinks.  There was also complimentary popcorn for people to snack on.  Many families packed picnic baskets or picked up dinner on the way.

Join The Lowry Team next Thursday, May 29th from 6 pm – 9 pm.  The high energy, entertaining, rock n roll cover band   3 Day Rule will be playing.

Carriage Hill

Homearama 2014 is being held from July 12th – July 17th.  It is open from 4 pm  – 10 pm Monday through Thursday and noon – 10 pm Friday through Sunday.  Tickets are $14 at the gate. Homearama will once again be held at Carriage Hill in Liberty Township Ohio. Carriage Hill is over 400 acres of homesites, lakes, streams, and woodlands.  It is located in the Excellent Rated Lakota School District. Homes range from $1,000,000 to $2,450,000 and from 5800 square feet – 12,500 square feet. 10 homes with a variety of architectural styles will be built on sites a half acre or more.  Featured builders include; Arthur Rutenberg  Homes, Clayton Douglas Homes, Daniels Homes, Hensley Custom Building Group, Jack H. Wieland Builders, Justin Doyle Homes, Robert Lucke Homes, The Leland Group, and W.V. DeStefano Homes.

Liberty Township and West Chester Ohio have often been the location of Homearama.  In addition to Carriage Hill hosting the 2013 Homearama, the neighborhoods of Foxborough, Four Bridges, and Wetherington have all been Homearama sites.  Homearama was held at Foxborough in 2011.  Foxborough is a very unique subdivision in West Chester Ohio with three ponds, walking paths, and a pool.

Four Bridges was home to Homearama in both 1999 and 2001. The golf community is located in  Liberty Township and features tree-lined streets, a pool, a playground, a lake, and a soccer field.  Residents have the option of belonging to the Four Bridges Country Club.

Wetherington is a gated community in West Chester Ohio that was a Homearama site in 1992.  The neighborhood consists of homes and condominiums. Amenities include biking/walking paths and the option to belong to the private country club. The club’s features include pools, tennis, and golf.

Gives Back On Red Day

RED DayThe Lowry Team participated in Keller Williams annual RED Day. RED Day stands for Renew, Energize and Donate and is Keller Williams Realty’s annual day of service. Each year on the second Thursday of May, associates spend the day away from their businesses serving worthy organizations and causes in their communities. RED Day is just another example of our commitment to each other and to the cities and towns where we live and work. 

For the 5th annual RED Day, Keller Williams West Chester partnered with Transitional Living Center on Thursday, May 8, 2014. Transitional Living, Inc., a private, non-profit organization, is celebrating 33 years of serving Butler County residents with severe and persistent mental illnesses. The facility is located at 2052 Princeton Road, Hamilton, Ohio 45011 . The Transitional Living Center was designed to help rehabilitate those who are in need of continued treatment before being able to live independently in their community.

The Lowry Team worked together with other Keller Williams West Chester agents to paint interior rooms, clear honeysuckle and brush, till gardens, mulch and weed flower beds.  The Lowry Team enjoyed interacting with the employees and residents of the Transitional Living Center while they worked.  The Lowry Team prides itself on giving back to the community.  In addition to RED Day, The Lowry Team works with Reach Out Lakota, among other organizations throughout the year.

The activities held at Jungle Jim’s are endless.  There are tours for groups of all ages.
