The Cone, located at 6855 Tylersville Road in West Chester Ohio was voted”Cincinnati’s Best Soft Serve” by Cincinnati Magazine. It is no wonder since they make all of their own ice cream using only natural flavors and ingredients.
The Wren family has been in the ice cream business since 1973. They started with a small store in the Lockland Ohio area. In 1993 they began looking to open a store in West Chester Ohio. While on a family vacation they found The Cone building for sale in Florida. The family purchased The Cone and shipped it back to Ohio. In 1995 they opened their doors in West Chester Ohio.
AOL voted The Cone “One Of The Top 10 Quirkiest Places To Visit In The United States.” The unique building and activities have made the Cone a popular Cincinnati destination. Features include colorful murals, game room, and kiddie rides.
As their popularity grows, so does The Cone. They have added 3 mobile units that serve ice cream and shaved ice at festivals and other large events, New this year are the electronic loyalty cards. Customers can build points to receive free items and special offers.
Stop by The Cone Monday through Saturday between 11 am and 10 pm or on Sundays from 11:30 am to 10 pm and try their best seller, the orange and vanilla twist. You may run into a member of The Lowry Team while you are there!
