Get an early start on your weekend and head to After Hours On The Square at Union Centre tonight.  Lt. Dan’s New Legs will be playing hip hop dance music from 6 pm – 9 pm Thursday, June 5th.  Grab some friends and enjoy food, drinks and great music.

Royal Redeemer Lutheran Church is holding  a rummage sale on Saturday, June 7th from 8 am – 3 pm.  The church is located at 7127 Dutchland Way West Chester Ohio.  Stop by and check out furniture, toys, clothes and more.  Proceeds from the sale benefits the youth mission trip.

Farmers Market at The Square is from 9 am – 1 pm on Saturday, June 7th. Head over and buy fresh locally grown produce, baked bread, plants and other products.  The market is open rain or shine at Centre Pointe Drive West Chester Ohio.

Saturday, June 7th the Fifth Third Bank West Chester Concert Series is featuring the western swing group Laura Hazelbaker and The BuckeyeRoos. Bring a lawn chair or blanket if you would like.  The concert is being held at the amphitheatre in Keehner Park, 7211 Barrett Road West Chester Ohio.

St Max’s Festival is going on all weekend long at 5720 Hamilton Mason Road. Friday, June 6th they are open from 6 pm – midnight. The featured band Friday evening is After Midnight. Saturday’s hours are 5 pm – midnight and the band playing is DV8.  Sunday the festival will be open from 3 pm – 10 pm and My Sister Sarah will be performing. Besides great bands, there will be a silent auction, games, rides, food and drink.

Rainy Day In West Chester OhioSchools out, the kids are home and … it is raining! Luckily, The Lowry Team has plenty of suggestions to keep the family happily busy.

Have a little family friendly competition and head to Monster Mini Golf.  Monster Mini Golf located at 7058 Ridgetop Drive West Chester Ohio 45069 is a monster themed glow in the dark, indoor 18 hole mini golf course. There is a DJ and also an arcade. Hours are Monday through Thursday from noon – 9 pm, Fridays and Saturdays from noon – 10 pm and Sundays from noon – 8 pm. It cost $7 for kids and $8 for adults.

Get rid of some of that extra energy by jumping around at Pump It Up. Pump It Up located at 7724 Service Center Drive West Chester Ohio 45069 has inflatables and play areas. There are slides, obstacle courses, basketball arenas and more.  Pump It Up holds open jumps throughout the week . They offer glow jumps in which they turn out the lights and the arena glows in the dark. Kids receive a glow in the dark bracelet.  Glow Jumps are Mondays from 11 am-1 pm and Tuesdays from  5:30 – 7 pm. They also have ice cream jumps where kids receive ice cream cups or sandwiches after they jump and play. Ice cream jumps are held Thursday from 5:30 – 7 pm and Fridays from 11 am-1 pm.  Cost is $8.

The Web Extreme Entertainment is located at 7172 Cincinnati Dayton Road West Chester Ohio. The Web has laser tag, go carts, mini golf and mini bowling.  Laser tag and golf carts are $8 each for a single pass.  Mini golf and mini bowling are $4 each for a single pass. They are open Sunday – Thursday from 11 am  – 10 pm and Friday through Sunday from 11 am – midnight. There is a cafe in case you are hungry or you can treat yourself to ice cream from Aglemesis Brothers. The Web offers specials and family packages.

EnterTRAINment Junction is located at 7379 Squire Court West Chester Ohio.  They are open from 10 am – 6 pm Monday through Saturday and noon – 6 pm on Sundays.  Kids and adults of all ages will enjoy the world’s largest indoor, interactive train display as well as their newest attraction, A-Maze-N Funhouse. The Train Journey costs $13.95 for adults and $9.95 for kids ages 3 – 12. The Fun House costs $9.95.

Mid Pointe Library at 9363 Centre Pointe West Chester Ohio 45069 is open daily from 9 am – 9 pm.  There are many kids programs such as magic shows, story time, crafts, games and more.  Check on line or visit the library to find the calendar of events.  Some events require pre-registration.

Located at 7211 Barret Road West Chester Ohio, Keehner Park is 123 acres acres of beautiful scenery along the Mill Creek.  Keehner Park features hiking trails, playgrounds, athletic fields, and an amphitheatre.  There are also picnic shelters that can be reserved.

The amphitheatre is where the annual Fifth Third West Chester Concert Series is held.  The concerts are free and open to the public.  Concerts are held from 7-9 pm.  Guests can choose to bring a picnic and a blanket or lawn chair.  Alcoholic beverages are prohibited.  The series kicks off on Saturday, May 31st with Blue Stone Ivy.  The band consists of vocalists and a horn section and  plays classic rock from the 60’s and 70’s.

The Lowry Team Attends Local Farmers MarketsMembers of The Lowry Team have had the opportunity to visit two farmers markets so far this Spring,  Farmers markets are more than a place to pick up fresh, locally grown produce. It is a time for the community to gather together, visit and enjoy the beautiful weather.

Eric Lowry, CEO and Listing Specialist for The Lowry Team visited the West Chester Farmer’s Market.  The market is open on Saturdays from 9 am – 1 pm at The Square, 9100 West Chester Towne Center Drive West Chester Ohio 45069. Some of the items to purchase are fresh produce, jams, meat, eggs and fresh salsa.  Many vendors offer free samples to enjoy.  Periodically, there are also guest chefs, artists and pet rescue organizations.  The season runs from May 17th – October 11th.

Karen Burck, Marketing Director for The Lowry Team checked out the Wyoming Ohio Farmers Market.  This marks the 8th season for the Wyoming market located at The Village Green on Wyoming Avenue. The market is open from 3 pm – 7 pm on Tuesdays. Local farms offer fresh fruits and vegetables. Other items that can be found are baked goods, honey, herbs, flowers, and coffee.  Kids enjoy waffles from The Taste of Belgium and street pops made from fresh fruit and herbs. Fireside Pizza is a popular “grab and go,” dinner on the run with the local residents.

Both farmers markets have newsletters that you can subscribe to.  They each also have options for their customers in the Winter months.  West Chester moves the market inside Mulhauser Barn located at 8558 Beckett Road West Chester Ohio 45069.  Wyoming has online order forms to pre-order then pick up beginning in November.

Foto Friday –  The Lowry Team Has Fun

At After Hours On The Square in West Chester Ohio.

After Hours On The SquareIt was a beautiful night on The Square. Sunshine, a slight breeze and warm. The venue was just the right size for the event. It was not too crowded and people had room to roam.

DV8 was the featured band of the evening. They sounded amazing and really engaged with their audience.  Concert goers sang along and danced to tunes from the 80’s to now.  Lisa Lowry, Director of Client Care says, “DV8 is one of the best cover bands in Cincinnati.  The perfect band to start the West Chester concert series.”

Kids danced and played while their parents relaxed with a drink and listened to the music.  A number of attendees brought their dogs to frolic and play in the grassy areas around The Square.

A beer booth and Icee vendor were available for those who wanted to purchase drinks.  There was also complimentary popcorn for people to snack on.  Many families packed picnic baskets or picked up dinner on the way.

Join The Lowry Team next Thursday, May 29th from 6 pm – 9 pm.  The high energy, entertaining, rock n roll cover band   3 Day Rule will be playing.

The concert kicks off this Thursday, May 22nd and features the band DV8.  DV8 performs music from the 80’s to now.  They have been the opening act for many national acts.
