Things to do in Cincinnati – Local Easter Egg Hunts for 2015

Easter Eggs hunts will be all over Cincinnati in 2015! The Easter bunny is hopping in this beautiful city and is hoping to bury the region in colorful eggs; baskets full of candy and the streets will be full of Easter parades. Egg hunt is a game during which, real hard-boiled eggs are decorated or artificial ones filled with chocolate candies, are hidden in a number of places for children to hunt and find. These eggs are of different sizes, and the game could be both indoors and outdoor.

Easter egg hunts are great fun for families with children! Most of them allow children from babies through elementary school to participate in the actual egg hunt, but some of them also have a variety of other activities such as, music, entertainment and food for adults and older children.

Egg hunts are usually right during Easter often late March or early April. In 2015 Easter will be on Sunday, April 5th and so most egg hunts will he held on Saturday, March 28, 2015, others on March 21, 2015 while the rest will be held on April 4, 2015; the Saturday right before Easter.

2. Easter Bunny Express

Date and Time: Sunday, March 28th-29th, and April 3-4

Ride times: 10:00am, 12:15pm, 2:30pm, 4:45pm

Admission: Adult: $19, Seniors (62+): $16, Children (5-16): $16, Toddlers (2-4): $10, Infants: FREE.

Details: Ride the Easter Bunny Express to the LM&M Junction for a visit with the Easter Bunny and Farmer Brown. All children will receive a special gift, and will be able to take part in an Easter Egg hunt. There will also be a photographer at the Junction. The event length is 1 hour, 45 minutes.

3. Deerfield Township’s Easter Egg Hunt

Date and Time: Saturday, April 4th, 2015; Session 1 at 9:00am – 10:30am; Session 2 at 11:00am – 12:30pm

Details: Enjoy booths, activities, giveaways, face painting and more! There will be visits with the Easter Bunny, and of course, Easter Egg hunts!

4. Keehner Park Easter Egg Hunt

Date and Time: Saturday, April 4th, 2015; 1:00pm

Where: Keehner Park, Tennnis Court Area

Admission: Free.

Details: Bring a bag or basket to collect eggs! This even is open to children up to 8 years old.

5. Fairfield Easter Egg Extravaganza

Date and Time: Saturday, March 28th, 2015; 10:30am – 11:30am

Where: Harbin Park Upper Shelters
1300 Hunter Rd. Fairfield, OH 45014

Admission: Free.

Details: In addition to their annual Easter Egg hunt, there will be a jelly bean guess challenge, crafts, visits with the Easter Bunny, and prizes. Age group hunts are offered for children 3 and under, 4 & 5 year olds, and 6 to 8 year olds.

6.Cincinnati Zoo Easter Celebration

Date and Time: Saturday, April 4th, 2015; 10:00am – 2:00pm

Where: The Cincinnati Zoo

Admission: Adult: $18, Child/Senior: $12

Details: There will be treat stations throughout the zoo, animal egg hunts, visits with the Easter Bunny, and more! There will also be 4 special Golden Eggs hidden throughout the park, which can be turned into the Welcome Center for a prize!
