Father’s Day is this Sunday, June 15th. Fathers often like to spend their special day doing hobbies and activities that they enjoy. Many Dads enjoy biking and hiking with their families. The Upper Mill Creek Conservation Corridor is a 22 acre wetland park that follows the former Erie Canal. It is a protected natural area that has 3 miles of paved trail that dads can walk or bike on. It is accessible off of Firebird Lane West Chester Ohio. Dudley Woods Park located at 5591 Harkins Road West Chester is a place where dad can go wildlife hiking. Also, Maude Hughes Incline at 6791 Maude Hughes Road in West Chester has both a bike path and hiking trails. This trail has unique bicycle stairs to take you from one level to the next.
For fishing on Father’s Day, head over to Beckett Park located at 8682 Beckett Road West Chester Ohio. The ponds at Beckett Park are not stocked but you are allowed to catch and release. Lake Butler Fishing Lake at 7505 West Chester Road is a stocked lake for the fisherman.
The Voice of America Park located of Cox Road in West Chester Ohio is over 435 acres of park. They have rowboat and pedal boat rentals as well as the capability of launching your own kayak. The 35 acre lake is also stocked for fishing.
West Chester Ohio offers many opportunities for golfing on both public and private courses. Beckett Ridge Golf Course and Wetherington Golf and Country Club are examples of two private clubs in golf communities. Nearby public courses are Crooked Tree and Western Row Golf Course in Mason, Ohio. Eagle Tree located at 9200 Cincinnati Dayton Road in West Chester Ohio has putting and chipping greens, a lighted driving range and an 18 hole putt putt golf course.
